Name: Evan LaPann    Location: Boston, USA

A fan of deep house since first exposed to the style via a radio show in 1995, Simex has had much time to hone his craft, an unclassifiable genre of music that touches upon all the major branches. Influenced by diverse artists like Aril Brikha, Technasia and Boards of Canada, Simex subtlely and effortlessly weaves together filtered chords, funky basslines, sharp and crisp drums and emotional melodies, creating music that is equally suitable on the dancefloor as it is at home. But it is the dancefloor where you should be hearing this music.

In 2001, Simex decided to take the next step with his music and formulated the Heavy Industries concept with friend and fellow techno producer, Fabrik Nos. Since then he has released some of the most popular H.I. tunes and continues to build his reputation as one of the USA's premier deep techno producers. Simex is busy working on his next Heavy Industries EP which should surface in Spring 2008.
