Name: Ronald van Aggelen    Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

R.V. Aggelen has been part of the Internet music scene since its beginnings. Because of this long experience, it is no surprise to learn Ronald's first music-related acquisition was the old Atari 520 ST. His sound began shaping into a mixture of bit crushed samples and intelligent note arrangements, and after many .xm releases, he finally got his first full vinyl release with the Deep & Dark imprint based in Germany. Since then he has continued to release with diverse groups of people and, of course, develop his sound even further. He now produces for Rohformat, Schleudertrauma and Heavy Industries, in addition to Cobalt Recordings (Chicago) and Strom Recordings (Amsterdam).

Describing Ronald's sound is difficult because as he puts it, it is "a quest for the fusion of styles." His productions are subtle yet never lacking adequate low end, bordering on abstract yet surprisingly funky. He is not afraid to play with dark soundscapes and imagery and much of his material explores this territory extensively.
