In 1993, at the young age of 17, Daniel Chavez founded the legendary Moontribe collective with Treavor Walton and the original Electric Skychuch members, James Lumb & Dave Dalask, here in LA. Daniel was the original Moontribe DJ to perform every full moon for six years, and although he has transitioned from the monthly lifestyle to a more occasional one, his participation had a huge impact on the outdoor party scene. These full moon electronic gatherings gave birth to DJs like John Kelly and DJ Brian - and Moontribe goes on to this day.

Daniel has DJed in Canada, Mexico, Japan, England, Ireland, Germany, Holland, Brazil, Costa Rica, and of course all across the US. His DJ style is always fresh and unique, blending styles and eras, from industrialized hard techno to deep house to electro. When he's not DJ'ing he is running Automat Records, which has featured the likes of Exos and Fanon Flowers. He currently collaborates with Droid Behavior and Mineral Musica.
